Juilia Watson Profile

Julia Watson is the Programmes and Operations Manager at Sea Change Project, where she co-ordinates the planning and delivery of projects that advance Sea Change’s goals, builds partnerships, and ensures projects make a meaningful impact. With over a decade of experience in ecological restoration, environmental education and engagement, and community-powered conservation, she combines strategic leadership with a love for nature and connecting people to it.

Julia has led large-scale ecological restoration and volunteering programmes, developed environmental engagement initiatives in the international botanic gardens sector, and led high-impact projects while guiding teams to deliver real outcomes. She is passionate about creating experiences and opportunities that inspire people to care for the natural world, as well as opening pathways for youth to get involved in conservation.

She serves on the committee of the SANParks Honorary Rangers, is Co-Founder of a Youth Conservation organisation, and is a Board Member and Africa Co-Chair for World Urban Parks.
